I can't hear the sound when I start some activities.
- Check
that your speakers are turned on and are plugged into the
computer.
- Check
that the volume in Windows is turned up and not muted. This
can be done by clicking on the small yellow speaker icon
in the bottom right corner of your screen. A volume slide
bar will appear when you click on the icon. Move the slide
bar up near the top. Make sure that the box next to 'Mute'
is blank.
NOTE: Some versions of Windows do not have the yellow speaker
icon.
- Make
sure that no other program is playing sound while you are
playing the activities. Usually only one program can play sound
at a time. If your computer is playing music or sound from
another program, the activities may not have any sound.
- Check
that your soundcard is connected correctly. One way to check
this is to run another program or game that plays sound.
If you can hear the sound in another program, then your
soundcard is probably connected correctly. If other programs
or games do not play sound when they are supposed to, there
may be a problem with the way your soundcard is connected.
Contact the support team for your soundcard. They may be
able to help you with any connection problems.
